Gladys was an unassuming and humble person, always thinking of others. My memories include times when she played the piano in the living room on Emerson St. while we sang songs at Christmas. A true saint who walked among us without expectation of receiving any recognition.

Aunt Gladys always included her nieces and nephew from Illinois at birthdays and Christmas with cards and little gifts. I loved watching and listening as she played her piano or riding the bud downtown to Sibley's Department Store when we visited Rochester. Such a sweetheart.

Aunt Gladys was a second mother to her 23 nieces and nephews. We were all treated as if we were her only niece ot nephew. She remembered us all for birthday and showered us with multiple Christmas presents. She was there for out graduations, weddings, baby showers. Aunt Gladys was very special to me and I will always hold her close to my heart. I have a bracelet she gave me for a present that was inscribed Believe in your self I will carry that thought with me til my last day. I love you Aunt Gladys. Lori Donna

my wonderful memories: sadly she passed when I was on my way t Shore Winds for a visit:
Aunt Gladys and I shared a love for music, ballet, movies and trips to the Finger Lakes and Carthage
where many of her relatives lived.....appreciated her sweetness, faith in Jesus, her French and Celtic
love for things related to Christ, the church and traditions, she saw only the good in all was generous beyond her means....total angel...trips to the Penny Candy store, riding on the bus downtown to see Santa Claus , ride the Edwards train, the dime store horse, looking at shoes with her, I was naughty with my sister Julie: we got some coal on Christmas Eve, 1966 or 67....crying 7 and 4 year olds......made up for it next day....
she taught me piano but it was not for me but played for me while I sang to music......she the gentlest of spirits...cats, dogs, kid, old people in need of a friend that was Aunt Gladys...sure she went straight to Pearly Gates.....

Dear Aunt Gladys, you taught so many so much with your gentle ways. You shared your gift of music with us all and gave of yourself gladly. You loved us and remembered every child uniquely. Rest in peace, dear soul. Your work is done. Love always, Linda
