Thomas R. Brown

Livonia - Went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2020 at age 89. Predeceased by his parents Robert Brown and Catherine Brown Patterson; sisters Alice Patterson and Sally Yaniga; brother-in-law Ed Yaniga. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan; sons Jack (Heidi) and Jim (Sherry); grandchildren Michelle (Ryan Schirmer), Michael and Amanda, several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

Tom graduated from Edison Tech in 1950. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Missouri. He worked at Lawyers Co-op, was a building inspector, then became the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works for the Village of Spencerport, and was active in the American Legion Post, also in Spencerport. He was an avid pilot of his plane that he shared with a friend for many years. Also, throughout his life, he enjoyed many activities: boating, skiing, hunting, but above all, he loved being with his family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Conesus Lake Nursing Home for their exceptional compassion and loving care over the past two years. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to Honor Flight, P.O. Box 23581, Rochester NY 14692

Service will be private.

Joan, my condolences to you and your family. We spent many fun times with you and Tom at the lake. Tom and Doug were such characters working and playing together. May they both be reunited now repairing something!!
Love to all, Mary Kay Tyner and family.

I remember meeting Mr. & Mrs. Brown — my parents (Barb & Chuck Watkins) knew you both from Spencerport and we were invited to a picnic I believe. I send my most sincere condolences to you Mrs. Brown and your family.
