My sincere sympathy to the entire Holt family. Our life was enriched by the friendship of Judd. May God bless you and comfort each of you in the days ahead.

Suzy, Johnny and I were so blessed to have known you both at First Christian. I will always remember Judd with a smile on his face and a story to tell. He will be missed by so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Glenna Tompkins

Dear Suzy, Carol, Josh, Judd, Jonathon, and Dr. Don,

We have lost a great human being. As most of you know, I have known Judd and Don since childhood. Until his last few years when his cognitive disease was so devastating, he was one of the most gifted men I have known in my 78 years. To know Judd was to love him! Judd would not compromise his values, but he was so blessed with that wonderful caring smile and zest for life that people followed his lead. He was so proud of you, Suzy, and loved you so very much. His "boys" and their families were the love of his life and filled his heart with pride and joy.

If you were privileged to know Judd, you knew one of God's best. He set a great example for all of us to follow...a true Champion in every sense of the word!

Dear Suzy and Family,

Judd was such a force of nature. I worked for Judd in his law office during the years of September 2002 - June 2006, along with his legal assistant Robin. I had so much fun. Judd helped push me from a wayward 19 year old, to a twenty-something with lots of aspirations. I read "A Promise to Catie" when I was girl, and it was so unique to be able to work for the author later on as a young adult.

Judd left such a lasting impression on me. During the time I was able to work/spend with him, Judd helped me to modify the way I looked at problems/people/the world/life and to keep a kind heart while doing so.

On several occasions when Judd and Suzy were out of town, I was lucky enough to be asked to care for their dogs and house-sit. Oh my, were those doggies the center of his attention. Judd loved his family so dearly, and even though I didn't know his boys or grandchildren personally, I sure felt like I did. Every new picture he took or he received was put on display with a story to go along with it.

My own father, Buddy Burns, went to school with Judd. Dad was relieved that I was employed by a fellow life-long Dentonite. I am so very proud to be able to say that I knew this man, and can testify to the extraordinary character Judd possessed. I am so fortunate to of been a "blip" in Judd's magnanimous life.

My love and prayers to you all,
Lauren
