David Leon Pope

David Leon Pope, age 77 and a resident of Denton, Texas passed away on October 18, 2017. He was born in Greeley, Colorado July 2, 1940 to William Lloyd and Gertrude Ruby (Cole) Pope.

David is survived by his children, Melvin & Doris Pope, Ronnie Pope, Kenneth & Brenda Fisher, Mark & Stacey Padgett, and David & Lorrie Hilliard. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Cody, Melvin Jr., Rachel, Jessica, Rebecca, Billy, Hunter, Brittany and Rodney; and by 16 great grandchildren, Hailey, Charliegh "Bug", Braden, Kensie, Destiny, Mercedes, Katelyn, Savannah, Raven, Leland, LiLith, Carlie, Kayla, Nikolas, Vickie, and Jesse; as well as siblings, Stanley & Sharron Pope, Orville Pope, Joyce Melroy, and Dorothy Davis; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding David in death were his parents, William Lloyd and Gertrude Pope; wife Judy Pope; son, Billy Pope aka Egghead; and a brother, Uncle Bill.
