I'm just hearing of such sad news. Betty and Carol came into Darcys Bistro and Pub and I waited on the two of them. Betty was always such a nice lady with a great sense of humor. I will truly miss seeing her smiling face walk through the door waving at me to say Hello! Rest easy Betty.

It has been many years since I last saw Betty but I remember her well. She was the Director of the Aurora Hills Baptist Church when I knew her. She was a good friend and voice teacher to my mom Helen. Under her direction, there was a lot of beautiful music enjoyed, not to mention the added fellowship and friendship she and Jim shared with my mom. May she rest in peace and delight the heavenly angels with her many talents.

Betty has touched so many lives. She was a friend, a mentor, a confidant, and a JOY! She lovingly guided so many of us in music and in life. She was such a great servant of God Whom she let shine through her life. My sincerest of condolences for friends and family. Her loss is heartbreaking, but she is now directing the angels in heaven. No doubt she is telling them to enunciate and drop their jaws. My dearest friend, you will be missed.

Betty was a long time patient of mine. I have known her for so many years. I always enjoyed our visits and hearing about what music she was directing next or how she loved her voice students. She even shared a couple weeks ago how she was getting ready to go out with her group of ladies to sing Christmas songs for those in nursing homes. She shared that they had been practicing for months to make sure that their performance was the best it could be. Betty was not only beautiful on the outside but was so kind and sweet on the inside. Betty was always a breath of fresh air and my heart broke today when I heard the news. She was such an inspiration and a joy to work with. I will miss her greatly but I know she is now reunited with her husband in heaven. Betty thank you for adding such a sweetness to our visits and I know heaven is rejoicing over you today. I pray for those that loved her and know that this must be a great loss for your family.

Love,
Dr. Patty Kalmbach
