I am so sorry for the families loss.

David, I am proud to call you one of my best friends. We had many great times together. I can still hear that laugh. You put things in perspective very succinctly. You always knew what was going on from the neighborhood to sports and world/ business affairs. I was always impressed with your intellect and heart. You loved your family, dogs, and everything Denver. You now can join Jean, Sam, and Nobel. I appreciated your travels to Houston, Santa Fe, and to the Brodmoor. You motivated me to play golf better than you (I never did) and ride the triple bypass from Denver to Vail and to buy another bike to possibly ride it again. The list goes on and you are in my heart forever. Love you, man! Sam C

I just heard the news from a friend in Denver. I am so so deeply saddened. David and I went way back to our early years in the Latin American stock markets and became very close friends. As anyone who knew him will attest, David had a huge, huge heart. Although we had been out of touch for years, I thought of him often and will continue to think of him often with great memories. My heart goes out to the entire Butler Family. Love - Jon

David,
In childhood, you were a valued friend like the brother I never had. Mazatlan was amazing. Later we shared a passion for the stock market. RIP.
