Deloras was such an inspiration to me and such fun. She truly was a friend of Jesus. I will miss her so much but visualize her with a smile experiencing all the wonders of Heaven. God love her!

Lolo was the original "neighborhood mom" she was loved by every kid who grew up in our neighborhood. No one brought more love, more happiness and more energy to those of us she called "you crazy kids". She was also an amazing teacher, an artist and a friend. She touched so many at every stage of her life; her legacy will live on in all of us.

I was blessed to spend time with Deloras this past year. I learned more about grit, determination and positive attitude through her life stories than any athlete I know. No matter how long our Moms are here we always want a little more; my heart goes out to you all especially on Mother's Day. This earth lost a good one but heaven gained a saint. Good luck Heaven, you have one spunky saint on your hands!

With love,
"Jake"
