Big Ed was a good and close friend during my CU and skiing days. We had many outrageously wonderful times. And we shared endless laughter! An old and truly memorable friend. I feel fortunate to have known Ed MacMillan. Great smile and deep laugh kept me laughing while enjoying friendship and life. You were and will remain one of the best!!! ~ J.M. Carnright

Ed (Edy) and I spent a couple of years together in Webster Hall at the Phillip's Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. He, and my roommate Al McLean, Steve Conger and Mike Hertz were my best friends during that important formative period in our lives. Ed was extremely bright, and a truly good guy. Also a good natural athlete. We saw each other several times in New York and Washington while he was at FB and I was consulting in DC.

I was shocked to learn of his passing in a recent issue of the Exonian magazine. We were very close, and that makes me think of what I also surely have in store. Also, of course I now wish I had called him once or twice at least during recent months when I was thinking about doing so but did not.

Oh, well. Old pal, may the sun shine always in your face and the wind blow always at your back. Happy trails, wherever they may lead!

I never got a chance to meet any of his kids, but I want you all to know that I am one of Eddy's oldest friends, and that I loved him a lot. God rest his soul.

Phil Rourk

Should any of his family wish to call me, I am currently at 001-503-7850-0808 in El Salvador where I have been living for the last few years.

Ed, You are the best boss I have ever had. So many stories and experience I shall always cherish. Rest in peace. Thank you again for eveything. SL

I met Ed at Owen and Christin's wedding reception. He was warm and friendly and you could see the love he had for his children.
