Departed this life on January 10, 2017, in Reseda, CA at 94 good years of age. Libby was born and raised in Denver, the daughter of Sam Jacobs and Rebecca Levine, and received an RN degree from St. Anthony's nursing school, after which she enlisted in the Army as a First Lt. and served throughout Asia in WWII where she met her future husband. After the war, they settled in his hometown of Pittsburgh and raised three children in Mt. Lebanon, PA where she worked at St. Clair Hospital. She moved to LA and continued nursing there at Midway Hospital until retirement. She adored all animals, especially dogs, played violin, painted, decorated, danced and loved life. She was predeceased by her brother, Norman; sister, Florence and half siblings, Ethel, Abraham, Ben and Bert. She is survived by daughter, Cheri Raimondi of New Port Richey, FL; sons, Dr. Robert Weiss of Pittsburgh, Dr. Steven Weiss of New York City; grandchildren, Adam, Dustin, Eric and Toby; and great grandchildren, Spencer, Ben, Amelia and Leah.
