So sad to hear of Jerry's passing. He was a man whose character and integrity is to be imitated. I met Jerry for the first time in about 2010 via a referral from a mutual friend. I had just started an oil marketing company and needed an outlet for some oil I had just started purchasing from a new client. I was in a bind. Jerry was kind enough to let me use one of his truck stations (Pecos Gathering) until I was able to get my ducks lined up. Jerry and one of his sons (John?) came to my office to discuss a deal. Being comfortable with each other and after a hand-shake, he wrote out a contract BY HAND on a yellow tablet that we executed. I am forever grateful, and will always remember, his kindness and helpfulness in helping me start my business.
God bless.

It was such a pleasure getting a chance to know him and work with him for even a short time. Prayers for the family on the hole his leaves in our lives but rejoicing with the angels that we will meet again. - Stefanie Forgey (Dallas, Tx)

It was wonderful getting to know Jerry and I'm just sorry that I didn't meet him earlier in life. He was an example to us all, as he served Opportunity International with his time, treasure, and commitment. We all loved him dearly and will miss him going forward. He has set an example for us all to aspire to./ Tom Skelton, Co-chair of the Ambassador Council for Opportunity International
