My wife and I have been attending the Starlite Drive In for three years and grew to love the sincere and genuine man who shared his dream of keeping an American icon alive in the form of the Starlite drive In. I fondly remember the time two years ago when Jim stopped by our car and shared his infectious smile and a quick hello while traversing the rows of parked cars before the first feature began. Rest in Peace, Mr. Goble, and know that your dream lives on...

I sit here this morning and think about my long lost friend Jim Goble! Jim and I met while I was a college student and finding my way. I know Jim was going through some of life's worst curve balls that life can throw at a man. I liked to drop by Jims house on my way home from Cherry Creek area and he never seemed to mind, this during the mid to late 90's. I enjoyed going for a ride in Jims Truck, even when he had to drag me through a graveyard ! Jim inspired me to reach for the sky and after school I started my own business in 2001 in Fort Collins! Wow, I never knew how hard but fun it would be but lost contact-from Jim over that time. I finally tried to reach out to Jim again on Facebook months ago but never heard back! Now I know why and know Jim did not tell many because he knew our hearts would be broken, so why break them twice! So sorry to all those who Grew to love the man named Jim Goble, we love you! I wish I'd reached out sooner! RIP Robert Mandell
