Ken was living in Englewood when I first moved there in 1963. I remember the many times he visited the schools and civic organizations to present awards and give talks about his time in the armed service. He was always supportive of me and the activities associated with the band program in Englewood. He had a wonderful family, raising four beautiful daughters. His service to our community was exceptional. He will be missed.

He was a father figure for me since childhood. He was such a colorful character and I will miss him. My heart and prayers go out to the girls and the rest of the family for their loss.

Kenneth was one of the first men I met when I started pastoring in Buffalo, SD in 1979. Over the years, since then, he would stay in our home in Buffalo and we would visit personally when he would drive his Mustang to Buffalo and then later visiting on the phone. I had the opportunity to help veterans in the local area and also privileged to honor Kenneth with cards at Christmas and for his birthday. He was proud of his military service but also had a good Christian background, with service to the Lord. My wife, Karen, and I will miss Kenneth's friendship and our prayers are with the family during this time of loss. May God comfort each of you.
