So sorry to read this sad news. He and Al worked together at The Denver Post. My Dad graduated from Polk High School and so I enjoyed visiting with him about his home town. Al passed away 2/1/16.

Bart was a true professional in every sense of the word. He had a friendly, calming nature that put his subjects, clients and co-workers at ease. No pretense with Bart .. just a friendly smile and greeting that made us feel a little bit special.

Dear Nyberg family, I would like to share with you some of the comments of my Facebook friends from the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, regarding the passing of Bart -- Jennifer Gavin

Comments

Joe Verrengia Sad to hear. He was on Channel 6 often with us

Steve Lipsher Oh, I hate to hear this. He was one of the truly good guys.

Jeffrey A. Roberts "Gentleman" is exactly the right word to describe Bart. So sorry to hear this.

Janet Day D---. He was a gentleman indeed and a solid journalist.

Neil Paulson An excellent man and a top reporter. His shepherding of the credit union through troubled times did him great honor. And I was always glad to see him.

Adriel Bettelheim Before he left the paper, I remember he took a driving tour to personally thank all the farmers, county agents and other sources he seemed to have in every corner of the region. RIP.

I am so sorry for your loss I know how difficult it is to lose a love one . Please take comfort in the fact that God will make you firm and he will make you strong. He will ground you at this time of sorrow.
