My Aunt Mary Ann was a dear person and a dear friend. She enjoyed a life full of love for her friends and family, for fine food and fun conversation, for joyful music and joyous occasions, for animals of every sort, from birds to dogs to elephants to apes, for nature in all its beauty, for mountain scenery, for the rugged and untamed, for wild flowers and fresh herbs, for good books, good wine, good causes, good stories, good jokes, and a good deal else. I'll miss her big smile, her big heart, and her big sense of adventure. She brought our family to Colorado and regularly brought us together with our many relatives. She was a sharp business person, a sharp dresser, at times a sharp critic, always a sharp mind. The world is a better place for all she added to it and I'm a better person for all she gave to me - from a taste for the mountains to a taste for travel, from a readiness for experimentation to a willingness to push the boundaries of convention. Good bye Mary Ann. I'll always remember you with love.

My deepest condolences to Mary Ann's loved ones at this time of grieving, especially her sister Sue and her nephews who I got to hang out with on occasion. The obituary shared on the site was SO her, thanks to whoever composed it. And you can better believe I will be sending a donation to WWF. (Man, did she love animals!) I will always remember Mary Ann as a principled, assertive woman, who had confidence and style and always treated me with respect. May she rest in peace.

May family and friend find comfort in knowing that Almighty God and his son Jesus Christ care about you and will give you the needed strength you need to endure this difficult time. Please read Jesus loving words found at Matthews 11 :28-30

Mary Ann was one of my oldest and dearest friends--took a wonderful trip to Europe with her and another friend in 1958. She always was a comfort, fun and loving person.
