I had the pleasure of learning and teaching with and beside Mary Armstrong in the Denver Public Schools. We met and taught together for many, many years at McKinley. McKinley became McKinley - Thatcher Elementary School, under the tutelage, of Rosie Dickens. I was young an in experience teacher. My learnt friend, Mary, gave me the tools, the discipline, constructive criticism, and nourishment, to become an experienced, understanding, and wise educator.

Mary, gave me so much. There's so many great things that stand out, but one thing that Mary, gave me, was always come prepare for battle, regardless of the circumstances. When I think of Mary Armstrong, she always puts a smile on my face of all the wonderful memories in an out of the Denver Public Schools. I will miss you, Mary Armstrong. May you Rest In Peace, my learnt friend.
