Mike had a general law practice, but was best known for handling employment law matters. He represented both employees and employers, which gave him a well-rounded perspective and balanced approach. This is only one of the many reasons Mike is so highly respected in the Colorado legal community.

Mike was a partner in one of Denver's first and leading, gay-focused law firms. This is one of the many reasons Mike is so highly respected in the Colorado LGBTQ community.

Mike was also a great mentor. He helped so many of us in our professional development, in making introductions, and in opening doors. I met Mike in the early 1990s, and to the end Mike remained a trusted colleague and friend.

Mike and Steve organized and hosted many wonderful events at their home. From the moment we arrived, the lawn and gardens captured our attention. And as we maneuvered from room to room through the house and onto the deck and patio areas, we were able to mingle, laugh, and celebrate the moment, all while thoroughly enjoying Steve's amazing gardens, with cocktail and food in hand.

I am very grateful for Mike's (and Steve's) friendship over the years. I am also grateful for their generosity to the Colorado legal and LGBTQ communities.

I met Mike 44 years ago while searching for an Attorney while having issues getting our house closed. I started working for Milo soon after that. He was not only my Boss but a great friend and was like family to my children whom were just four and six years old when we met. After closing the Law Firm down on Grant Street, I continued to work with him from his home up until the end of 2016. I will miss him forever we had a lot of memories together.

Mike was a great friend and great lawyer. He cared so much about making his community better - whether it was the LGBT community, his fraternity, Denver, or his legal clients.

He loved his garden, his cats, his travel adventures, and most of all, Steve. We will miss him.

Carol Hunt, Gwen Huitt, and his godson, Tim Peck.

I always enjoyed our conversations at dpmc events. Mike had a big smile and big life stories that matched. WE certainly are better because Mike helped pave the way for a better community. My good thoughts to you Steve during this difficult time
