Max, the King of Camelot, ruling his kingdom at Pecos Jr. High, surrounded by the lords and ladies bowing to his rule. Ah, those were the days. A "kid" tied up outside the principles' office on teachers' first day, hay rides, track suits for all, secret Santa, doughnuts on work days. He loved his job, totally supported his teachers and never left anyone wondering what he thought. So many stories he committed to memory (good, bad, ugly!) My best years teaching were spent with Max beginning with the Camelot era. Truly an inspiration to be the best one could be, he touched the lives of all who knew him, worked for him/with him and loved him. His presence will be missed but his essence will remain as will his legacy. Honored to have known him and lived the Camelot years.
