Shirley's mother, Bertha, married my father, Harry Charles Morton. Unfortunately, that marriage did not work out and they divorced while Shirley was very young. However my father would visit her when she lived on Klamath St. and take me and my brother to visit.
Shirley was my half-sister. As time went on and we grew older I got to know Shirley and loved her even though time separated us. For many years she lived on Ames St. in North Denver and I sent many cards to her at that address. She was able to be with many of the Morton clan at a reunion several years ago. It was a real delight to have her and be with her. We reunited when Betty Budy and husband, Don, were at our last reunion for Betty is a niece to me and "family." Shirley will be in our thoughts and missed.
Richard John (Dick) Morton
