Red Couts is a significant person in my life. He hired me in 1984 into Wyman-Gordon where he was the R&D Superalloy Manager. He Mentored and Guided the careers and lives of a number of us new graduates. He demonstrated to us what it was to be a professional and much more. He showed us how to be a Godly person and how to have a sense of humor about life. I am very grateful for having Red in my life. He made a difference in me.
I do cherish celebrating his career achievements at the International Superalloy Conference where our theme was Red Couts - Super Man. We also honored him at his Retirement Dinner where Sargent Grit recounted Red's war heroism.
God Bless Red Couts!!
Dr. Jack Hyzak
Student of Red Couts.
