We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Yuri. My Mom read an article on Namikos, in the Denver Post and told us we should give it a try. She liked the story. This was in 1994 and have been going ever since. A sweet memory was when Yuri complimented my husband and I on our daughters behavior and then gave her a stuffed bear on our next visit. She was so very kind and appreciative. She was a beautiful spirit. Thank you Yuri for bringing the BEST sushi to Arvada. You will be missed. Our hearts go out to her daughter and grandson. We are so very sorry.

We are saddened to hear of the loss of Yuri Chandonnet. We first met Yuri, when she had just opened Namiko's. She would often sit and talk with us, letting us get to know her. It was fun to watch her grow her business in to the most amazing Sushi restaurant in Denver. Over the years as our family grew we brought our two boys to the restaurant to meet her. Its been a family tradition for over 30 years to come to Namiko's. She was encouraging and inspirational. We live in Carbondale and would get to Denver about four times a year, each time our restaurant of choice would be Namiko's. Yuri would greet us with a warm greeting and hugs, remembering us every time. Yuri made friends for life, each of us meant something to her.

We were introduced to Namiko's, and Yuri, in about 1992 by my aunt and uncle, Amy and Shogo Horiuchi. They drove from Brighton whenever they wanted Japanese food as they had such respect and affection for Yuri, and she had the best Japanese food in the metro area. Over the years we've gone to Namiko's many times, and she was always friendly, fun, professional and provided wonderful food and service. We are very sorry for the family's loss.

We are so sorry for your loss. Yuri brought joy to everyone who walked through the doors of Namikos. We've been loyal fans since 1988 and always feel welcome. Yuri will always be part of Namikos, both in spirit and in the standards she set for quality of food and the high level of service.
