You are gone too soon. I never had a chance to meet you. We were first cousins. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

As a high school classmate Andy was well known for his athletic ability and being an all-around great guy.

I visited Andy & family only once out here in CA, many years back, so my best recollections are from our high school football days Andy & Randy Daws were my best friends, they saved me from the other team, as they were much bigger than me, and opened the defense, so I could run through. Andy's father worked with my father at the Waukee CO-OP which was another connection as we sat at the dinner table while growing up in Adel, IA. Andy was a GREAT GUY, and a good friend.

We had a lot of fun growing up together, Andy was like a brother. He was always laughing about something. We shared the same love for sports and working on cars. He joined the Navy and I joined the Air Force and life separated us. He was planning to come to our 50th high school class reunion this summer, but cancelled at the last minute due to failing health. He is one of the really great guys.
