Don was my dad's best friend in high school and was his best man in his wedding. They went to college together and had many good times. ( skip day their senior year) I'm sure they are having fun together again, reminiscing about fun times together.

Dear Bruce, your dad was a member of our dance group for many years. I was fortunate enough to visit your dad over the last couple of weeks, and his smile never left his face. Don was a good friend and I'll miss him. You have my deepest sympathy.

OH my, Don brings back so many memories of childhood - my parents would have only bought our shoe & theirs at "Dons shoes" in Perry. I still remember him measuring our feet on that little stand he sat on, and then getting a FREE shoehorn. I also remember some big event he would have at the store with prizes, maybe it was Paul or Poll parrot shoes - red ball jets too. those were the days, He was such a pleasant man !! One of several Perry businessmen who were assets to the community. THank you Don for taking care of our feet and making us feel special --- may you rest in peace !! God bless you (i also remember your Black curly hair, ha)
