Crawford's- We were devestated to hear of Red's passing. Although we haven't been able to spend much time with him over the last few years, the impact he has had on our lives is still there. The boys remember his sharp wit and spunk!! A person is defined by the lives they have touched and that is truly the legacy they leave. Your Dad's legacy is strong and we will all meet in the future.Randy, Tonya, Andrew, Matthew and Grant

Little did I realize the first time I met Gerald (Jerry, Red) Crawford when he was selling for Gus Glazer that I would know him the rest of his life. I became a barber in Indianola in 1963 and would cut his hair and later in Des Moines. In the last ten years Red and brother-in-law Harold Annett would travel to Montezuma where they would have their hair cut. Many memories we all shared over the years, lots of laughs and lots of stories told from years gone by. I truly enjoyed Red and his humor and many tales. Red was very proud of his roots and his family, always talking about his two sons and two daughters. Gerald will be missed by so many people including this barber who was so fortunate to make his acquaintance in the late 50's in my uncle's grocery store in Milo and continued until recently in Montezuma. Was glad to know Red, and I will miss my friend.
Red was lucky to have to wonderful ladies in his life, first wife Edie who they raised their children with and later Wynona who gave her love and care to Red.
God Bless the Crawford and Annett families at this time,
Respectfully
Ron (the barber) Hensel
