Jack Anderson, 88, the greatest father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013.
Jack was born March 20, 1924, one of three sons of Axel and Nora Anderson of Iola, Kansas. A veteran of WWII, he was a Navy fighter pilot flying the F4U Corsair off the aircraft carrier Intrepid. He later served in the Korean War as a landing signal officer on an aircraft carrier. He was a successful businessman and avid golfer.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Mary. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon and Sue Ellen; son, Jack and his wife, Sue; five grandchildren, Mike, Scott, Ryan, Megan and Dustin; six great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Cameron, Phoebe, Avery, Abigail and Phoenix; and one great-grandchild on the way.
