I know Mary Ellen only through the tremendous love and devotion of her sons eyes, Noah, with whom I served in Mozambique. My deepest condolences to the family on the passing of a remarkable woman and loving mother.

So sad to hear of Mel's death. So many wonderful memories of college, weddings and trips to Des Moines and Dubuque for weekends. Love to all the Keefe family. Ellen O'Connor Connolly

Have such great memories of our time together when living in Granite Falls! Later, my visit with her in Des Moines when we traveled to Galena, IL to visit historic homes during their tour of homes. Mary Ellen exuded fun and creativity--a wonderful friend! She loved, loved her sons!

Blessings to you Seth and Noah as you go through this transition. Mary Ellen was a little quirky but I always liked her. We shared many hours of conversation while we still lived on 42 St. Loved hearing of her adventures. Lived taking long walks with her.
Peace to all
