I was so sorry to hear of Dick's passing and the challenges he faced in his later years. I had the pleasure of working with Dick for several years while at John Deere Financial. He was a highly respected leader. I think his proudest moment was leading the team responsible for successfully moving John Deere Credit to the new home of John Deere Financial in Johnston. My prayers are with Jane and the rest of Dick's family during this time of mourning.

I got to know Dick from working at John Deere Financial in Johnston, Iowa. It saddens me that Dick had battled Alzheimer's. May he RIP!

I had the very good fortune to work with Dick in the Facilities Department Deere Credit from 1998 until his retirement. Dick was such a kind servant of all. He always went above and beyond to help with transitions and needs of the employees. He took pride in his job, family, and employees. He led by example. He had a twinkle in his eye and a sly sense of humor. He saw the positives in all circumstances and drew others to him by his welcoming personality and ready smile. He and his wife Jane, came to my rescue more than once. My children regarded him as a father figure and what a shining example he was! I will be forever grateful for the time spent with him and Jane. We will miss you Dick! God speed and know you are loved. Patty VerDouw, Mandan, ND
