Sharon,
I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. You and yours are in my prayers.

You are the only person I ever met that upon entering any restraunt you would call out loudly "SMOKING AND DRINKING, PLEASE!" You will be forever missed dad. You were a great construction and tile man, a great teacher, and hands down probably the worlds best mechanic. Not to mention BY FAR the worlds most meticulous mechanic. I sincerely hope you are playing eighteen holes of golf with your parents, or turtle hunting with Barney Hirdler about now. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sharon, you are a saint to stay with my dad every minute on his painful journey of sickness. Thank you for being so great, I would seriously like to nominate you for sainthood. -Tone

Sharon and Jean,
Susan and I are very sorry that we cannot attend tomorrows service for Tom in Ames. Having lived down the alley in North Minneapolis and across the alley Robbinsdale from his parent's home at the beginning of his formative years, I got to see him often. That includes my baby-sitting years for Tom and Jean. He was always gracious. Always a delight to be around. Susan and I send our deepest sympathy on your loss. May the good Lord bless and keep you, Tom.

Please accept my sincere and heartfelt sympathy in your loss of Tom. He was a wonderful teacher always making his explanations interesting and done with great care. I had much respect and appreciation for his craft and I will always remember him as a very kind and generous man.
