So sorry to hear of Vance's passing. He was a wonderful helping man. Did our stats at Rockford for football. They were the greatest!!

I send my extreme sympathies to Vance's family upon his death. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I worked with Vance at Niacc from 1976-78 when he was Director of the Dorms at Niacc. He spent so so many years at Niacc and was loved and appreciated by all. May he rest in eternal peace.
With extreme sympathies,
Ann Loughlin

To the family,
I am sorry to hear about your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted " and "comforts all who mourn " sustain your family during this most challenging and difficult time.

Vance has been a member of our family for several years now. My parents loved spending time with him going to games at NiACC, having him come with us out to supper, and having him over just to hang out. He was a kind and very special friend to my parents Jim and Loretta Mathahs. I was blessed to call him one of my friends too.

I got to know him better when I cared for him as a nurse. I'm certain his friendship with my parents made him slightly prejudiced, but he told me I was his favorite nurse, which meant a lot to me.

We will miss Vance and always be glad to have had him as an adopted family member. I know there are so many who will also grieve for him and at the loss of all of his valuable community service, which he continued to do. He was still working right until the end.

To Vance's family, my husband Curt and I wish you our prayers and hope that the knowledge that he was loved by many is of comfort to you. You have our deepest sympathy and I hope you will remember us in your prayers too as we will be missing him along with you. Goodbye my friend. You blessed us everyday. Thank you for loving our family. Sincerely, Curt and Mardi Sauve
