I am so sorry to here about Vera. She was always so excited about our family reunions we would have. I will miss her. Thinking of you Pat and Scott. Prayers are with you all.

Such a lovely sweet lady. She was my neighbor & my Bluebird Leader. I still remember she served us Kool-Aid and snack crackers, which I never got at home. I always looked forward to going to her house. Sending hugs Pat & Family

I have only fond memories of Vera. She was always kind, helpful, friendly, loyal, dedicated and loving. She was the kind of faithful church member that every pastor dreams of.
I admired Vera very much. I still remember when Vera and Vera approached me with an idea for service that they desired to begin--quilting. It grew with many members and friends taking part, and becoming a loving community for one another. There must have been hundreds (Vera could tell us the exact numbermm) of quilts made for homeless families, parents and children, staying at the Hawthorn Hill homeless shelter.
But just seeing Vera's beautiful smile every Sunday morning was enough to brighten my day.
We are grateful we had her active and with us for almost 100 years. I will always remember celebrating her 99th birthday at church during the community supper. What a joy she is.
Brian Carter, her pastor and friend.

Vera was one of the sweetest ladies I ever knew! She was a kind, wonderful neighbor and friend.
Who else would put a basketball hoop on their garage and shoot baskets?! It was not for her grandson, Scotty - it was for her!

Many fond memories!
