James Alan November 1, 2017 Age 51 James Alan Lucich died on November 1, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born on September 29, 1966 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Albert and Virginia Lucich. Since 2006, he was a resident of Troy, Michigan. Jim is survived by his siblings, Daniel, Julie (John) Childers, and Robert (Krista), and his nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Brendan, Owen, and Samantha. Jim also leaves behind his cousins Kirk, Rick, John, and Linda. He was born and raised in the Detroit area and was a proud graduate of Michigan State University. Jim was a loving and beloved sibling, and a devoted friend to countless people. He had an indomitable spirit, was always optimistic, and made every person around him feel special. He worked as a trusted financial advisor in San Diego, California and Honolulu, Hawaii and was an avid sportsman, traveler and photographer. Family will receive friends Sunday, 1-6 p.m., L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop-Sassaman Chapel, 19091 Northville Rd. (at 7 Mile Rd.). In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt.
