I knew him as Uncle George ...but, he was much more than an uncle to me. He taught me so much about business, giving me my first job at World Credit in Detroit; fatherhood, raising six children and including me as number seven during my "formative years;" the OSU/Michigan Rivalry and he taught me where all the straight pins are hidden in a dress shirt. He will be missed by me and all who knew him. RIP Uncle George.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The happy memories of times shared at the Big House and the tailgates at Hoover and Green will be cherished forever. Thank you George - we know you will be cheering us on from Heaven!

Hugs and Love,

From my cousins Amy and Michael Flaker

You all have been in our thoughts and will continue to be in the coming days. Words cannot accurately express how we feel. Your dad was an amazing person who brightened the room just by being in it. His patience, love and understanding were just a few of his qualities that i admired. The world is now a sadder place without him.

We are beyond thankful that we were able to spend that precious time with you all at Thanksgiving. And even more thankful that we had the opportunity to reconnect with you when we lived in South Lyon.

Our children love your dad and could not be more blessed to have had him as a grandfather figure - allowing them to have a connection to their grandpa Norman. The memories they created with him will be cherished their whole lives.

To say your dad will be missed, is a lie. Because "missed" doesn't even come close to how we all feel. His loss has left an impact on us all and the void left behind will never be filled.

We wish we could be there with you - giving whatever support you need. We love you all!!!

Carmen We are so sorry for your loss he was such a great man. Every time I saw him in the restaurant I could tell how much love he had to be with his family and how happy and proud he was when you were all together. Our love and prayers are with you and your family.
