Jim was a great man. He always played by the book and I was so fortunate to have him as one of my bosses. He taught me more than he will ever know. He was kind and generous and had a wonderful sense of humor. The day he left the RenCen was a sad day for a lot of us because with a man like Jim, you always knew where you stood. I am so sorry for you loss.

Jim, Karen and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. So sorry for your loss.

Firstly, Jean, Janet, Jim, Jr. and grandchildren, you were his treasure. He was proud of each of you and when the grandchildren arrived he had a special "grin" on his face.

Secondly, being his Secretary when he was Director of Engineering, I realized that the RenCen was his second treasure. When Jim retired from the RenCen there was a "shift in the atmosphere" and it was never the same. The corner of Jefferson & Beaubien is dedicated to Jim Like.

Love, Lori Jenkins
