As a Spanish interpreter at St. Mary's Hospital, Father Leo and I frequently crossed paths. I remember his kind smile, and the peace he helped to bring to so many of our patients.

I am very sorry for your family's loss.

Father Leo was a great partner in ministry at Saint Mary's hospital in Madison Wisconsin. He was dedicated to ministry for all people. I am grateful for having the opportunity to work with him. I also appreciated his sense of humor . He was an example of compassion and impacted others . Going thanks for his presence and witness.

Your parents dedicated Leo to the Lord thru Baptism, He dedicated himself thru Ordination, now your family dedicates him back to the Lord upon his death. What a wonderful legacy of faith. Our family learned to revere Father Leo thru our mother Cecelia. She and our dad visited Leo a couple of times; I believe it was in Wisconsin. She was so happy that the family had been blessed with a priest, she prayed for him especially when he went to Nicaragua. I remember being in high school at the time and the word went out that Leo needed to learn Spanish. I had just completed second year Spanish with books and tapes as aides. My family sent these to Leo. He sent a note that he was grateful for them and had passed them on to others when he finished with them. My contact with Fr. Leo was limited but I know the Lord was with him. He was a kind, gentle, bright, and humerous disciple of God.
