Mr. Smoter was our neighbor growing up on Lark Ct. in St. Clair Shores back in the 60s. He was the Dad with the cool Chrysler cars in the driveway, the beautiful lawn and the warm greeting when we visited, which many of the Eisbrenner kids did in those years... to see Karen, Bobby and Marky. I hope you remember those good days swimming, playing ball in the court and running with sparklers. Your Dad (and of course, your special
Mom) had an impact on the Eisbrenner kids across the court. Hugs to you on the loss of your Dad. Lauren (Laurie) Eisbrenner.

My Grandfather was and will always be one of my favorite people. I feel very fortunate to have had someone so special to me for nearly four decades. Grandpa was consistently one of the most supportive people throughout my life and would never hesitate to be there for me no matter what - always knowing I could count on him was very comforting. He never asked for anything in return except to simply spend a little time with him - which I would gladly do and wish that I still could.
I have so MANY fond memories of him, especially when I was growing up. From teaching me to drive, to operating his old green boat on Lake St. Clair, to fishing, miniature golfing, bowling, using power tools and even gardeningall cherished life lessons.
He was very welcoming and loving towards Michelle (the love of my life!) and that means more to me than words can even express. I'm so grateful she got to know and love him like I did.
Thanks for being such a WONDERFUL Grandfather. I will miss you dearly!
Your "buddy" always,
Jason

Our hearts go out to ALL the family!! Mr Smoter was always so kind to me when our families got together...he loved my mom and dad and that touched my heart:)
I know his faith was in Everlasting Life so I'll see you when I get there and until then, my dad and many others will show you the gates that lead you HOME!!

Louie "Grandpa" was the absolute best Grandfather any Grandson could ask for! Louie & Esther were the first family members that I met on Jason's side - after meeting them, I understood why. The bond between Jason and his Grandparents was so strong - much more than that of typical Grandparent/Grandson relationship. I quickly became part of their family and they treated me as if I was not only their blood grandchild but more of a daughter. I will forever cherish the countless memories with Louie, but even more so, I will forever be grateful for the love and positive influence he had on my husband. Grandpa, you will be forever missed and loved!
