Dawn, Ricky and Samantha -- I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and dad. I just wanted you to know that I still have an email that Rick sent me in 2012, simply because it has continued to encourage me to keep trying to be the best teacher I can be, especially when times are hard. Samantha -- Do you remember there was a fight in the auditorium at Lakeview High School during the Senior Assembly and I got caught in the middle of trying to stop it? You had gone home and told your dad about it, and he took the time to send me an email -- so very thoughtful of him. Here is part of that email: "Keep being the great person, and wonderful teacher that you are! Don't give up on these kids yet! We need many more like you! Thanks for all that you do!!!"

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sue Culver, Math Teacher, LHS

RICK, I will miss our Sunday morning get togethers, bringing you
communion and saying a prayer. You suffered a long time with your illness,
you must have gone straight up to heaven. So I just want to say would you
put in a good for me.

Rick Kennedy was my son Billy s friend , Ricky Kennedy s dad. When Billy had his accident he was at St John's hospital, when Billy suffered a Spinal cord injury. That was the first time my wife and I met Rick and Dawn Kennedy. Rick organized a fund raiser at the vintage house.Rick raised enough money for us to purchase 2 elevator s , a Chrysler handicap mini van and a new bedroom and nursing area at our family home. Rick he did that before Billy was even out of the hospital. Rick never gave up on my son Billy, Rick built him a standing unit so Billy could stand up again, Rick organized A Vip visit for Santa Claus to come to our house at Christmas, for the girls and for Billy. Rick help me from start to finish build a three stories addition to our home .Rick did it so Billy would no longer have to sleep in our living room. Rick refuse any compensation for labor Rick gave us tools organized contractors received many donations from local businesses introduced us to so many people. Rick would help with picking my girls up from school or basketball because we were busy working with Billy. I have many more stories about Rick Kennedy and many others. Our family will always be humble to all of those who were there during our weakest moments. We did alot of prayer during that time for God to give us a miracle for our faith, Rick Kennedy and his Love for our family will always be a reminder .That the Lord sends us so many miracles for our faith in God. I know Rick is in Heaven and will always be by our sides as one of God's healing helpers. Rest in peace Rick Kennedy Amen thank you God
