Uncle Bill was the best uncle I ever had. He was such a blessing to me and I always felt so comfortable, happy, safe, and had so much fun every time I went to visit him. He was such a loving, caring and kind person. I was so happy that he loved and served the Lord. RIP Uncle Bill. I love you and you will be greatly missed. Love, Barbara Cochran

I first met Bill Montgomery when I was 12 and became friends with his son Brian (and later Dave). My memories of those days are hazy, but I remember how friendly he was whenever I visited their house in Roseville, which was often because they had a pool! Bill was such a personable man and even remembered that my mom had been a music teacher at the school where he worked. Over the years he always seemed happy to see me whenever I dropped in for a visit and always asked how school, and then college, and then graduate school, and then teaching was going. It was always clear that his wife, Joan, and his kids (and later their spouses and grandkids and great-grandkids) were his priority in all things. He always acted out of love to them and kindness to everyone he met, including complete strangers. I still find it incredible that he and Joan lived in that house on Groveland since the late 1940s! Even long after the pool was taken down, it was always a warm and friendly place to visit because of Bill and Joan. I know that Brian, Dave, Jim, Joyce, and Danny are fortunate to have had such a wonderful father. His passing leaves a void in all our lives! John (Al) Mitchell

I remember him growing up at Bethel Baptist Church. Any time any one needed anything, if he could help he would. Heaven has gained a wonderful Angel. Love, thoughts, and prayers to the Montgomery Family.
