I WAS FORTUNATE TO FISH WITH BILL FOR TWO DAYS IN 1981. HE PUT US ON MUSKIES WHEN NO GUIDES ON THE LAKE COULD FIND A FISH. HE TOLD ME TO GO TRAVEL TO THE PLACES I WANTED TO FISH WHILE I WAS YOUNG AND I TOOK HIS ADVICE. TRAVELED THE WORLD WITH RODS AND REEL AND HAVE CAUGHT MY SHARE OF DIFFERENT SPECIES. THANK YOU BILL FOR THE ADVICE. HE WAS QUIT A GENTLEMAN, UNFORTUNATELY I WAITED TO LONG TO RECONNECT AND THANK HIM. MY FATHER LIVED ACROSS THE CANAL FROM HIM AND REBUILT AN ENGINE FOR THE MUSKIE BABY AT HIS FACTORY IN DETROIT, MOTOR REBUILDERS. HE SURE CAUGHT HIS SHARE. HE WAS BEYOND DOUBT IN MY MIND, THAT HE WAS THE GREATEST LIVING MUSKIE FISHERMAN YET ALL THE TIME ON BOARD HE ACTED LIKE WE KNEW AS MUCH AS HE DID. I'M GREATLY HONORED TO HAVE MET HIM.
