Alfred Truman "Jack" Watts WEATHERFORD -- Alfred Truman "Jack" Watts, 84, passed away on September 15, 2018. FUNERAL: 10 a.m., Saturday, September 22, First Baptist Church, Benbrook. Interment: Aledo Brown Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 21, White's Funeral Home, Weatherford. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Dallas. Jack was born on August 7, 1934 to Frank Washington Watts and Mae Etta Martiner in Thrifty, Texas. He married the love of his life, Jean A. Voegele, 61 years ago on November 16, 1957. Carrying out his father's wishes, Jack continued the family business, Watts Drilling Company, started in 1946 to the present-day operations. His passion and work ethic made Jack the 'go-to' both day and night for many of his customers. This commitment to his work resulted in Jack becoming known to many as the "Well Man". While work was considered downtime for Jack, he also enjoyed spending time at his ranch caring for his cattle, donkeys, deer, turkey and hummingbirds. Jack's other passion was his commitment to his family and the many people in his life. Never meeting a stranger, Jack was always willing to help with anything needed. Jack was also a Air Force veteran as well as being a third degree Master Mason and thirty second degree Scottish Rite Moslah Shriner. SURVIVORS: Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean A. Voegele; children, Alfred Tad Watts, Tim Watts, Torre Watts Holbrooks, Toby Watts and their spouses; five grandchildren and their spouses; four great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Jack would show up to fix my pump with starched jeans & shirt and his cowboy hat and boots, even in 100 degree weather. A Texas gentleman all the way with that reassuring voice of steadiness and calm answering your questions by replying, yes ma'am and no ma'am . Jack had the qualities of honesty, sincerity and kindness. The Winters family has been truly blessed through the years to have been a friend of Jack's. I am grateful that our paths crossed and that our lives touched. I shall always remember him with the deepest admiration and affection and I was honored by his friendship.
And so, I say Au Revoir to a gracious human being, and I do so with a line from Yeats who wrote, Think, where man's glory both begins and ends, and say my glory was I had such a friend.
May God wrap you in his arms as you walk this road.

Jack will always be remembered as a class act, a man of his word and always, always a man of honor and respect. One of a kind! He will leave a void in our community.... and they just don't make them like that anymore! It was a pleasure and an honor to know Jack. God bless! .

In our old house on the lake with its antiquated water well, I never worried about being without water for long with Jack and his boys on the job. He was a good and great man and will be sorely missed in our world. Gods comfort to the family.

We were completely without water at my house no less than 2-3 months ago - Jack himself came out and worked for several hours to get our water running again - all with a great attitude and gentle spirit. He was always a trooper!
Thank you - you darling of a man! God bless you.

My parents, John and Dottie Waggoman, loved the Jack Watts family, Jean, Tad, Torre, Toby, and Tim. Jack was so good with water wells. I don't think Dad would have lived to retirement, if Jack had not so skillfully worked those wells.
