Mrs Ogarrio probably made the biggest impact in my life than anyone outside my family. I was in GAA all 4 years of high school (1968-1971) and was her student aid for my last 2 years of high school. She did something must teachers these days know nothing about and that was volunteer her time as a coach, she was the only girls PE teacher in those days and coached all our competitive teams softball, basketball, volleyball and badminton teams with no complaints. That's dedication. She and I spent many hours talking about what I should do after high school and just life in general. She was a wonderful person and loved by everyone. She was not only a teacher to me, but also a friend. The world has lost a very special person. I send my condolences to her family.

Barbara was my PE teacher at Half Moon Bay High School in the 60's. An awesome person and teacher. I just read of her passing on a website online. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs Ogarrio's passing. She was a wonderful gym teacher (1966-1970) I will always be grateful to her for allowing me to play tennis instead of softball which would constantly leave me with sprained fingers! She was always fair and sweet to us. My deepest sympathies to her family. Sincerely, Vicky Bradley Reina
