Adams, Claire
Claire Marie Adams, age 86, of Powell, Ohio, died peacefully at Riverside Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Marion and Lewis Belyea, her husband Bill Adams, and son Robert Adams. Claire is survived by her children, Kathy (Mark) Hall, Judy (John) Adams Foelber, Tricia (Ray) Kelly, Mary (Mark) Paquette, David Adams, Jim (Monica) Adams, Tom (Mariela) Adams, Steve (Gretchen) Adams, Dan (Kristen) Adams, Emily (Allen) Lenko; and her 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her brother, Joe Belyea. Claire was born in Boston, MA. She graduated from State Teachers College at Lowell with her education degree and started teaching at an elementary school in Arlington MA. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Bill Adams. Claire and Bill were married in 1956 and within a short 13 years filled their home with 11 children. She had a full life with many cherished friends, adventuresome travels, and a strong, loving church community. Claire's family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 2017 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065, (614)-792-1471. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. TUESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2017 at ST. JOAN OF ARC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
