1953 - 2017
Delayne Kay "Dee Dee" (Emmelhainz) Brinkman, age 63, of Powell, OH, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2017 with her family by her side. Dee Dee was born September 1, 1953 in Galloway, OH to the late Harry and Norma Jean Emmelhainz. She graduated from Westland High School in 1971 and worked at PNC bank for over 40 years. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church parish. She will be remembered for her kind, selfless soul and her love for friends and family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. In addition to her parents, Dee Dee was preceded in death by her son Shawn. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael of 44 years; three children, Tara of Memphis, TN, Megan (Bryan) Kelley of Dayton, OH, and Adam of Powell, OH; grandson, Kolyn and granddaughter Adalyn; siblings, Larry (Margaret) Emmelhainz, Peggy (Chris) Willford, Linda (James) McCulloch, Michael (Julie) Emmelhainz, and Deborah (Bobby) Deal; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 High Street, Columbus, OH 43085 between 3-5pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017. A private burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, OH 43119. Roseanne & I just learned of Dee Dee's passing today (8-7-2017). Our sincere sympathy to you and your Family. Sorry we could not be with you and the children yesterday at the funeral home.
I will always remember Dee Dee as the BEST Secretary I ever had during my 43 year business career.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I worked with DeeDee many years at National City. She interviewed me for a position in the legal area back in the late 80s. She was always very helpful, kind and a very loving lady. I know she will be deeply missed.
