To Ed's family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Ed was a very nice man and he had a lot of friends in Mansfield. I would see Ed at the "Y" and sometimes at the Red Fox for a drink.
May he rest in peace.

There is a hole in my heart. I have so many good memories of Ed - so many fun times that I will never forget. I always think of Ed's stories of he and his Dad listening and going to Indians games. When I make mashed potatoes I think of his memory of watching his Mother standing at the sink mashing her potatoes. We shared many drinks together at The Red Fox Tavern and when I learned of his passing, I lifted a glass of wine to him and our friendship. My condolences to his family. He was loved in Mansfield.

Ed, my God, you are one of my dearest and definitely my oldest friend, as we met in first grade at SS. Cyril & Methodius. One of the very few, of whom I can say I have known and always enjoyed for more than 60 years. I hold you in highest esteem for your intelligence, sharp wit, compassionate regard for others, and your kindness to me and everyone we knew.
Though we've been geographically separate for many years, I always felt like you were right next to me during each of our phone calls. You are one of the very few I accept and respect without condition - exactly as I regard my own family. But not everyone in my family shares our history in following the Tribe and the Browns, so you are indeed unique and irreplaceable for me. It's only appropriate that the Indians will win the World Series this year in the best Indians' performance we witnessed in our lifetime.
You are one-of-a-kind in your significance and comfort to me and - I'm sure - so many others.
