Durfee, Esther
Esther Durfee, age 94, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully September 21, 2017. She was born January 23, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Michael and Mary DiCicco. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the Lord and attended Mass every morning at St. Joan of Arc Church in Powell, OH. In her younger years after retiring to Ormond Beach, Florida with her husband, she became passionately involved in acting and singing at the community center there. She also loved reading and yoga and being active. She is preceded death by her husband Erwin Durfee, brother Robert DiCicco and many aunts and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her son, Bruce Bartlett; daughters, Patricia Potesak and Debra Guerriero; grandchildren, Michael and Tim Bartlett, Matthew and Patrick Guerriero, Jamie (Noel) Gonzalez and Adam Potesak; and great grandchildren, Nyah, Jaden and William Gonzalez and many others including Andy Guerriero and Steve Poe. The family would also like to thank the many wonderful friends and those who helped in her care, for their love and support. There will be a memorial Mass in celebration of her life at St. Joan of Arc, Powell, Ohio on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you may send a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
