Esther Marriott Obituary

Marriott Esther R. (Chaffin) Marriott, age 90, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was born on August 6, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Robert and Esther (Smith) Finch. Esther retired from Plaskolite. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, traveling, and lived a full happy life. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her first husband Floyd L. Chaffin, Sr., son Thomas M. Chaffin, second husband Harry M. Marriott, brother Robert Finch and sister Carol Johnson. She is survived by her children, Floyd (Lori) Chaffin, Jr., daughters, Judith Worthington and Linda (Tom) Hersland; stepchildren, Garry, Michael, and Mary Kay Marriott; brother, Chuck Finch; sisters, Doris Osborn, Jennie Schneider, and Susan Finch; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
