Crone, Harold E.
1920 - 2018
Harold (Hal) E. Crone passed away February 28, 2018 at The Village at Westerville Retirement Center in the presence of family. Harold was born Nov. 21, 1920 to Arthur and Edna Crone in Ashland, Ohio. He retired in 1982 after a long career at Landmark and in 2008 from a second career at Geen Thumb. Harold was a member of Westerville Community United Church of Christ and a former member of Good Samaritan RCA. He is survived by his daughters, Jeannette Crone and Judith (Jack) Cashman; son, Duane (Pam) Crone; granddaughters, Tamara Luebcke, Lisa Allen, Janine (James) Tackett, Laura (Renae Stumph) Cree and Emily (Nick) Leggett; great-grandchildren, Joslyn (Brad) LeGresley, Dan (Britta) Luebcke, Emily (Nathan) Chaffee, James Wolford and Felix Leggett; great-great grandsons, Brayden, Benjamin and Brody LeGresley; sister, Evelyn Slitti; sisters-in-law, Lucille Harding and Betty Fisher, and a loving extended family. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Louise, on May 16, 2015 and by his brother, Eldon Crone. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 the Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 E. County Line Road, Westerville, OH. Interment will be held at Dickey Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Ashland, Ohio at a later date. Donations may be made in his honor to the Westerville Community United Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund.

My thoughts and prayers are going out to your family. Hal was such a wonderful person. I will never forget him sitting in the sun outside and always giving a hug and a kiss on the hand. He will be missed but what a wonderful life and now to be reunited with his wife in heaven.
