Ball Larry Frank Ball, age 67, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia on October 3, 1949, he was preceded in death by this parents Frank William and Madge Kennedy Ball. Larry is survived by his daughters, Heidi Marie Ball (husband, Jason Shaffer) and their children; Kennedy and Charlotte Shaffer of Marysville, Ohio, and Michaela Ann Ball of Florida; his partner, Nancy Hartman; his brother, James Ball; and many other family member and friends. Larry graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Forrest Industries in 1971. He worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for more than twenty-seven years in its Training and Development department and other areas. Larry was an active member of the Meadow Park Church of God and a board member of the Divorce and Separated Group of North Broadway Church. He enjoyed sailing, cars and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughters and granddaughters. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Keith Ball presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice. Larry was always such a dear friend to us- He became our family through Nancy Hartman. I am grateful for his warm and friendly presence at all our family events. I am so glad I got to hug and see you last week. Larry, you will be so missed. Rest in peace friend!
