Robertson, Opal
1945 - 2018
Opal L. Robertson, 73, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born January 3, 1945 in Chattaroy, West Virginia to the late John and Juanita (Bowens) Robertson. Opal was a loving mother and her family was very important. She retired from Spring Dry Cleaners with over 45 years of service. She was a founding member of Beulahland Baptist Church and enjoyed going to every church social that was held. She also loved going to flea markets and visiting Amish country. She was an avid reader of paperback books and delighted in swinging on her front porch watching the birds eat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Salters. Opal is survived by her children, Robyn (Rory) Hamlett, Bobbie Baas, Ruby Salters, Jerry (Danielle) Salters, and James (Tammie) Salters; 15 grandchildren; 18, great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn Ratcliff, John (Loraine) Robertson, Frank (Melodye) Robertson, Barbara Endicott, and Wanda Adkins; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
