Donley, Nancy
1934 - 2017
Nancy Lou (Lawrence) Donley, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2017. Nancy was born on December 28, 1934 in Clarkston, Michigan to the late Claude Bruce Lawrence and the late Cora Columbia (Sellers) Lawrence. She graduated from Walled Lake High School in 1952 and attended Michigan State University. On April 12, 1957, she married Forrest Donley. Nancy spent most of her life in the Midwest and liked nothing better than to return to the Great Lakes. She was a Michigander at heart all her life. Nancy was active in her church and local community, volunteering countless hours teaching Sunday school, Awanas, assisting at the Xenos snack bar, delivering meals for Meals on Wheels and supporting the Jackson Symphony. No matter where she lived from Michigan and Ohio to Colorado, Nancy gave back to those around her. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Donley; parents, Claude and Cora Lawrence; brother, Claude Sellers Lawrence and niece, Janice Green Grimes. She is survived by her children, Clark Donley, Holly (Bob) Borghese, and Arlene (Jay) Moss; sister, Jeannette (Hubert) Green; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., where a memorial service will begin at 4 pm. Interment will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to LifeCare Alliance, 1699 W. Mound St., Columbus, OH 43223.

Prayers for the family. Nancy was a wonderful person and I am sure she will be greatly missed. She and Forrest were great friends when they lived in Jackson. Many of the worlds problems were solved in our discussions and it was a sad day when I was one of the pallbearers for Forrest. Our love to the family for sharing these two.
