Our beloved mother, Doris Mae Brann Price, 83, died peacefully and unexpectedly at her home in Rio Verde, AZ on November 9, 2013. She was married for 60 years to Dr. William E. Price Jr., originally of Oklahoma City, OK.
She was born November 2, 1930, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, to Harry Jennings Brann and Helen Templeton Brann. Doris attended Sturgeon Bay High School and Northwestern University School of Nursing, graduating with a RN (registered nurse) certification. On July 19, 1952, she married Dr. William E. Price Jr. (Bill) at the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2013. Bill & Doris lived and raised 4 children in Edina, MN. They spent summers in Ephraim, WI, where they owned a beach cottage for over 50 years. Both were members of the Ephraim Moravian Church for many years.
Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, tennis, socializing, watching Green Bay Packer football games, Fox TV news, and playing bridge with friends. As well, she was an active volunteer for a number of different organizations. She is survived by her 4 children, William E. Price III (Barbara Lynn) of Maple Grove, MN, Jeffrey Brann Price of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Ann Price of Savage, MN, Thomas Sterling Price of Westport, CT along with 3 grandchildren Sterling, Brenden, and Gemma, sister Barbara Jean Lawrie (Col. (Ret.) Thomas (Tim) J.), and many other relatives. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
A Memorial Service is planned for January 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Ephraim Moravian Church in Ephraim, WI. Please direct any memorials to the Ephraim Moravian Church, PO Box 73, Ephraim, WI 54211.

I had the pleasure of meeting Doris at my sister's (Linda Mayer) house in Edina, Minnesota many years ago. My sincerest condolences to this kind, gentle lady's family and friends.

Doris and Bill Price were our next door neighbors in Ephraim for many years. They were also our friends. There are many happy memories never to be forgotten. I was fortunate to have spent time with Doris in June of this year. I will miss her very much.
