Debra Ann "Cutino" Castellanos Kittle
February 12, 2021
Resident of San Jose, CA
Debra Ann "Cutino" (Castellanos) (Kittle) "Nan", resident of San Jose California passed on February 12, 2021 at 9:36AM to be with our Lord God, Angels, and family. She was valiant in her fight with cancer.
Debbie was born and raised in Pittsburg, CA, high school class of 1970, and graduated nursing school in 1972 at age twenty. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sara and Tom Cutino of Pittsburg, and Debbie Dennis of Kansas, best friend and partner of her sister, Tonna Cutino.
Always busy, she loved her church and spent many hours there volunteering her time, and spent countless hours at her granddaughter Simone's schools.
Debbie had many hobbies and interests. She was an avid fisherman, chef, baker, crocheter, knitter, gardener, reader & much more. One of her favorite activities to engage in was PBR shows & rodeos, attended with several family members. She did not like having idle times on her hands.
Since the age of four years old her main goal in life was to become a registered nurse, and she fulfilled that dream in 1972 at age 20. Most of her career was at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek, and then a few other hospitals. She was an RN and a first responder for almost 40 years. Absolutely loving her job she worked tirelessly until her physical health couldn't handle it any longer.
Being the matriarch to our immediate family and others in her inner circle, she never had a dull moment. Debbie, Nan Is survived by her loving family daughter Jessica Castellanos Echols from Rio Vista California, Tommy Castellanos from San Francisco, Christin Mladinich from Brentwood California, grandchildren Simone Mladinich 17 Brentwood, Matthew 16 Bethel Island, and her sister Tonna Cutino where Debbie resided with her dogs Chancho and Lola. Plus many more that she called her children as a second mom, whom many lived with her at different times, she was the go-to person to all, everyone called her Momma, Debbie or Nan.
We all love you & will miss your intelligence and conversations & texting. We won't say goodbye, we will say, "Until we meet again." Peace be with you, rest in peace, you're finally whole again without pain. Loved by all.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

Debbie was such a sparkling good friend thru our junior high and high school days. We had so many wonderful and silly adventures together.
My heart goes out to Tonna, her closest friend and most beloved sister. Her soul lives on.
